WSL
ITAS is the German subsidiary of an acknowledged American software company. The company is mainly concerned in the development of numerical codes for geo- and rock engineering. ITAS uses its own software in the consulting activity for the numerical analysis of real projects.
The Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research (WSL) is concerned with the use, development and protection of natural and urban spaces. WSL occupies a leading position internationally in these research areas. We also provide groundwork for sustainable environmental policies in Switzerland.
KRIS
J.Krismer Handels-GmbH (KRIS) is a SME with 20 year experience in slope reinforcement with various systems.

Prof. Dr. Wei Wu from the Institute of Geotechnical Engineering, BOKU is the Project Co-ordinator.
PROJECT PARTNERS
The project partners includes two research institutes (BOKU and WSL), a software and design company (ITAS) and a small-medium enterprise (KRIS).
BOKU
The University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, sees itself as an education and research centre for renewable resources. With its wide range of areas of expertise it is the task of BOKU to contribute significantly to the protection of life resources for future generations. With a connection between natural sciences, engineering and economics, BOKU is trying to deepen the knowledge of an ecologically and economically sustainable use of natural resources in a cultivated landscape.
